🎬 Smurfing Into Summer: Recliners, Blockbusters & A Guest Blogger at Oaks Center! 🍿💺

What the Smurf is up my Movie Mates?

Last month I told ya’ll about our Recliner Installation coming in the fall, and before you go back and fact-check me, I definitely said mid-fall and NOT the end of summer. If you go back and read last month’s blog, and it says “end of summer,” then someone is setting me up! We have a Demo of our new recliners prominently situated in our lobby for all the Movie Mates to test out. One key difference between what we are installing and the demo is that ours will come with massagers! Even if you don’t want to see a movie, just buy a ticket and get a massage! Heated. Messaging. Recliners. I already sold my house and decided to just live here 24/7 because you can’t get this kind of luxury at home. If that isn’t enough, you will be able to upgrade to a Dbox Recliner. Dbox is the fun part of 4DX without getting gross water sprayed in your face. It will shake you around to the heart-pounding roar of a T-Rex or the rhythmic vibrations of an F1 Race. And unlike 4DX, you can control the level of vibration or even turn it off if you want to! We are so smurfing excited and cannot wait to have this completed!

So, now I am going to switch things up a little bit and have our first guest blog writer. He made his debut as Movie Mate Guy #4 in our Movie Mate commercial and quickly rose to fame, starring in many Instagram classics such as “The Quiet Place Reel,” “The Minecraft Reel,” and his current Grammy-nominated hit, “Jurassic World Reel.” I proudly present Dizzy Dom. Take it away, Champ! Try to say Smurfin as much as possible.

Thanks Mack! That was a very nice introduction! I’ll be honest, I was a little bit nervous about being asked to write a guest post for one of the world’s most famous and highly respected blogs. It’s not every day you get the honor to contribute to something that has a long history of success and impact on so many people. But something came up and I wasn’t able to contribute to that blog, and now I am writing something for Oaks Center Cinema. So, naturally, I wasn’t nearly as nervous! I decided to just spitball all over the smurfing wall and hope that some of it sticks!

I want to apologize for the delay in the post. It took me a little bit longer to write this, mostly because I got too comfortable in the demo recliner seat in the Oaks Center’s lobby. In my rest, I was trying to think about what I could include in this month's update for the movie mates, but I didn’t know much aside from what is included in the famous short videos I’ve appeared in. Being a professional, I decided to do some research on the Oaks Center Cinema and check out the website.

I will say, I was pleasantly surprised when I was browsing the new and updated version. I was pleased with how readily available the information was. As soon as you get to the main page, you’re shown what’s playing. Purchasing a ticket is just one click away. I starred in the “Jurassic World” short video (as I am sure many of you know), so I already knew that was playing right now, but the COMING SOON tab shows you what movies are releasing soon and what is on sale. “Superman” is flying in very soon with his super dog, which is smurfing amazing because who doesn’t love dogs? “Eddington” comes out the week after, and it stars a new up-and-coming actor, Pedro Pascal, who I think everyone will like. Maybe we can see him in a few more movies before the end of the year. That same weekend, we finally get to see “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” and as long as you aren’t smurfed the smurf out, “The Smurfs” will be out as well! It’s a packed weekend! Each of those movies has their tickets for sale on the website under COMING SOON!

Also, one more big movie that I am excited for is “Fantastic Four,” which stars the aforementioned up-and-coming actor, Pedro Pascal. He’s playing Mr Fantastic, of course. Maybe we can see him in several or nine more movies before the end of the year! I am going to have to leave it at that, because I am just so busy right now with all of the short videos that we have to make before the month’s end. I hope I met my Smurfing quota.

Well, that guy is a little pretentious. Stars in a couple of Insta Reels and thinks he’s the next Pedro Pascal. Maybe this will be the first and last guest writer segment. I guess it was too beneath Mr. Hollywood to mention our July Classic Series line-up. We’ve got, “American Psycho” July 4th-10th, “American Beauty” July 11th-24th, “American Graffiti” July 18th -24th, and “American Pie” July 25th–31st.

Stay safe out there, Movie Mates!
