Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last, wake me up when September movies begin. That is how the Green Day song would go if it were written by a movie theatre manager.
We had one heck of a summer here at the O.C. starting off with some action-packed Blockbuster movies from June to August and wrapping up the summer season with a sold-out Q&A with Kevin Smith, which was Amazing. Kevin was such a great guest and spent so much time interacting with members of the audience. We will definitely be inviting him back again next year. So if you missed out on this last one, keep an eye on our socials and website, we may even be getting more surprise guests soon!

To help us keep the party bus moving, our friends at Comedy Explosion are back and kicking off the fall lineup with hit Comedian and Actor Aaron Berg! Tickets are on sale now at thecomedyexplosion.com! Tickets are also now on sale for the Red-Carpet Premier of “Taffy,Rita, and the Rattlesnake” including live Q&A with the Cast and Crew. Tickets and details are available at Oakscenter.net. If you haven’t been to one of our Red-Carpet Premieres, then what are you even doing with your life? This is your chance to get all dressed up and hobnob with independent filmmakers and actors. Tickets for this event are going pretty fast, so hurry up!
For those of you who attended the DVF showcase on August 23rd, you might want to talk to your doctor because there was no DVF Showcase on August 23rd. I don’t know where you were or what you were doing, but it wasn’t here. Unfortunately, we had to postpone it to October 18th due to various factors, including all of the renovations going on. Tickets can be purchased now at Oakscenter.net, and since we are such nice people, they will be available for a discounted rate for a limited time (we aren’t that nice).
Speaking of renovations, things are full steam ahead! There are so many new things coming to the OCC that it’ll make your head spin like the Fire Gang from Labryinth. If you haven’t been keeping up, we are renovating 4 theatres with new flooring, Lighting, and Heated-Messaging Recliners. As well as adding some Dbox Seats, an Expanded Food Menu, and some exterior touch-ups! As they say, the show must go on, so while some of our theatres are down for renovations, we added two more auditoriums, #1 and #12 are back from their two year vacation.
